However, there are events, which are a matter of endurance, rather than pure skill or ability. In many of the strongman competitions, certain events not only require skill, but endurance. Not only must the competitor be able to lift or carry the weight, but also they have to do it for a sustained amount of time. Thus, their ability to lift or carry becomes secondary to being able to endure the weight. The same applies to the Christian today.</div><p></p><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span> </span><span> </span>We learn the scriptures and spiritual truth, but many do not know how to endure hardships and challenges. We gain skill, knowledge, and understanding, but in the time of testing do not last. Every Christian has to learn The Art of Endurance as they grow in God’s grace and knowledge. Without endurance, the Christian can possess spiritual insight and knowledge, but cannot last long enough to see the fruits of it flourish in life. There are six aspects to the Art of Endurance. The Christian, who understands these, will be successful in their walk with Christ.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">1) Endurance is a prerequisite to eternal salvation. Jesus stated that the one, who endures to the end, shall be saved. He did not say the one who did more or knew more. Thus, one major aspect of endurance is that it guarantees entrance into eternal life.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">2) Endurance brings stability during uncertain times. Endurance helps one to maintain their pursuits in this life in the midst of adversities. Endurance helps one to see beyond the pain and see the promises of Christ and the hopes and dreams of tomorrow.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">3) Endurance guards against the desire to quit. Endurance has the motto that “Quitting is not an Option,” which stifles the desire to give up and quit.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">4) Endurance helps to revive faith. Endurance gives the user a since of faith. Endurance causes an individual to remember the Word of God and His personal promises.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">5) Endurance brings the believer closer to perfection in Christ. Endurance causes an individual to look past hurts, disappointments, and ungodly desires. Thus, bring a greater level of purity, morality, and holiness in Christian living.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">6) Endurance is a guarantee of success in spiritual warfare. Endurance causes believers to outlast every attack of the enemy. One of his tactics is to cause believers to let down their guards and allow him to dominate their lives. But, if the Christian endures, the warfare of the enemy will not accomplish what it is sent to do.<br /></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span> </span><span> </span>Yes. Life does bring problems, both great and small. Sometimes, hardships and trials can last for years and it seems as if there will be no end. However, remember the Art of Endurance. It will be worth it in the end. Remember, our walk with Christ has promise in this life and in the life that is to come.</p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-14361845330930314712023-08-09T16:53:00.002-07:002023-08-09T16:53:51.596-07:00SEAL THE RECORD: OVERCOMING THE PAST<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyIP2DE99xVmuVbWyYMR4iSANNB6-exqMKTtQDyPhfjGaQMdPMuhCiTnsMb_WcQ7_qz-7-7OZSaUDMCDWhLsPMdWbVUNdYgo3kZcyxX1r_ZnWNwrpQ9n1AeAAjhIOnmNPzEDxOSUTGYMSuHMS_a79vkwaSiZbD4cPtxOGf2PCQ6WeDW29yz-doc6QjUwbq/s320/bbec50b6ba51164ebee32a20fa12371f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="213" data-original-width="320" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyIP2DE99xVmuVbWyYMR4iSANNB6-exqMKTtQDyPhfjGaQMdPMuhCiTnsMb_WcQ7_qz-7-7OZSaUDMCDWhLsPMdWbVUNdYgo3kZcyxX1r_ZnWNwrpQ9n1AeAAjhIOnmNPzEDxOSUTGYMSuHMS_a79vkwaSiZbD4cPtxOGf2PCQ6WeDW29yz-doc6QjUwbq/s1600/bbec50b6ba51164ebee32a20fa12371f.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p><div style="text-align: justify;"><span> </span>The foundation of any established organization is good bookkeeping. And, a sign of good bookkeeping is confidentiality. In the government, when certain events took place, though they maintain internal records, they sealed them from view in external records. These files are not open to the general public or general inspection. In essence, what they are saying is that the events that took place are between them and the involved party. The question maybe asked, “What does this have to do with our overcoming fears?” </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div><i><span> </span><span> </span>And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of<br /><span> </span><span> </span> all them<span> </span>that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. Luke 4:20 (KJV) </i></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span> </span><span> </span>The answer is simple: There are many people in the Body of Christ who need to seal the book on past sins and failures; and in some cases, on present struggles and weaknesses. Some people are fearful of repercussions of their pasts and keep reliving it over and over again. It comes up in the form of “would have, could have, and should have.” Yet, there is another group who feel that in order to be “REAL” they need to expose past indiscretions and present struggles. However, wisdom is needed in this regard because two negative outcomes may manifest: Exposing present weaknesses invites unnecessary temptations and trials. Some people have opened up to individuals for help and were taken advantage of, or they were ridiculed and belittled. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span> </span><span> </span>Some people use exposing present weaknesses as an invitation to sin. Be careful of people who tell you they can trust you with their innermost details. Sometimes they are sharing with you to give you a personal invitation into ungodliness. You need to tell them to “Seal the Record.” The reason we can seal the record is because of what Jesus did when He entered the synagogue and read from Isaiah. He opens the book and reads a five-fold description of the deliverance He offers. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">1) Preach to the Poor – Those who feel the least in this world can be made rich through the knowledge of Him. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">2) Heal the Brokenhearted – Those who have been emotionally scarred, bruised, and hurt can be liberated.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">3) Preach deliverance to the Captives – Those who are captive to lifestyles, mind-sets, and even people can be freed through Him. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">4) Recovery of sight – Those who have been blinded by sin and the devil can gain spiritual sight and insight so that they can understand who they are in Him. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">5) Set at liberty the bruised – Those who are trodden down and wearied by life and suffering from all matter of afflictions can be set free through Him. After Jesus’ reading, the text tells us that He closed the book. By interpretation, it reveals that His work of total deliverance is complete if we receive it. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span> </span>Jesus already closed the book. Do not stay in jail when the door has been opened. Again, Seal the Record on things of the past, present struggles, and future worries because faithful is He that is called you and He will also do it.</div>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-70456116152115998442023-05-24T19:29:00.008-07:002023-05-24T19:35:35.048-07:00Love Not the World: Maintaining Loyalty to Christ<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHu4d3X2fSGlcwSVQH-wBHT4-auru-cer_PLRjJZeKMTi4PisXtZGrjOyTiStbNDjocW1lITSq6Tnk1BbkMEgSeHOgBrH6fOvAfLGsUDu69IBH5-EMjxOj6Q6JCofra85DNewE_5zeBkMk77C1d1Fq9vnZQkvK84NnqYZjsmjUIwZhEGP88NlgxE02Og/s2000/file9901241727462.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2000" data-original-width="2000" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHu4d3X2fSGlcwSVQH-wBHT4-auru-cer_PLRjJZeKMTi4PisXtZGrjOyTiStbNDjocW1lITSq6Tnk1BbkMEgSeHOgBrH6fOvAfLGsUDu69IBH5-EMjxOj6Q6JCofra85DNewE_5zeBkMk77C1d1Fq9vnZQkvK84NnqYZjsmjUIwZhEGP88NlgxE02Og/s320/file9901241727462.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Christians have to be on guard against the allures of the world. Every Christian has to ask himself, “Do I Love the World?” If so, one has to turn from this and give 100 percent to their Christian walk. In essence, one has to become a “sell-out.”</div><div style="text-align: center;"><p style="text-align: left;"></p><p style="text-align: justify;">When we usually hear the term “sell-out,” it is usually in a derogatory manner. Someone who is a sell-out has forsaken an alliance for another. We have to become “sell-outs” for Christ. We have to remain commitment to Christ and the faith. We have to forsake the world and the lusts thereof. If we are not careful, the world will ensnare us with its enticements.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (I John 2:15)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">We have to break our allegiance with the world. We cannot think, act, and live as unbelievers. In addition, we have to become sell-outs to friends and family at times; if not, we will not be able to say assuredly that we do not love the world. We cannot allow friendships and family relations to stunt us in our growth. Jesus challenged His listeners in this regard,</p><p style="text-align: justify;">If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26 (KJV)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">We must have healthy family, friend, and other interpersonal relationships. These will help us to overcome the world and not submit to its seductions. Acquaintances can sometimes keep us in familiar patterns and habits. To break this, separation is sometimes needed. Separation is not always a physical separation. However, a separation from the influence of ungodly family and friends is required.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">We must also forsake selfish motives, ambitions, and desires. These attributes will bring stagnation to our spiritual growth. We must recognize them and remove them. This is the only way we can avoid the allure and attractions of the world.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">We must remember to forsake the world and its lusts, forsake the influence of ungodly family and friends, and forsake selfish motives and ambitions. If we will do these things, we can give an answer to the question of whether we love the world or no. If we do not love the world, our commitment to Christ can remain unwavering.</p></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p></p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-21395589747303151482023-02-02T09:07:00.001-08:002023-02-02T09:07:12.867-08:00Identification without Condemnation: The Importance of Acknowledging and Recognizing Sins<p style="text-align: right;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGk_AxcmNdFulD8Zfx1XL2pShvk7QQnjGgbYE_rLU9ysHWnTEvuEzQ3Y5Wt6Mwj2-VorWPpLimBf_vvbB7UP_FHtEj7l17gMkriLHfzM4c0WUh27QUBwKqAPvIpBlyWkSUlcqOMFwf7yKH/s902/picture1+%25287%2529.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="902" data-original-width="843" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGk_AxcmNdFulD8Zfx1XL2pShvk7QQnjGgbYE_rLU9ysHWnTEvuEzQ3Y5Wt6Mwj2-VorWPpLimBf_vvbB7UP_FHtEj7l17gMkriLHfzM4c0WUh27QUBwKqAPvIpBlyWkSUlcqOMFwf7yKH/s320/picture1+%25287%2529.jpg" /></a></p><p style="text-align: justify;">SIN is a taboo word in society and in the Church. To call someone’s actions a sin is sometimes regarded as an act of bigotry, judgment, and hatred. However, Christians have to stand on the truth of God’s word that men have sinned and that there are certain activities, which are considered sin.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Much of the controversy behind what is sin derived from how man handled personal sin and those of others. Some became critics, judges, and condemners, while others put no restraints on sinful activities. Yet, there is a balance.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 (KJV)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Do not be afraid to identify certain deeds and actions as sin. When you see things as God sees them, you reveal your connection to Him. Besides God concluded all men as sinners, so that all could receive from Christ. Recognizing sin does not set an individual up for condemnation, but for the mercy and grace of God to be received.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Christ came into the world to save sinners. So, when people say that what they are doing is not wrong (when it is) then they close the door for Christ to show them His love, grace, compassion, and peace in a complete way.</p><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Saying that something is sin does not make you a bigot, fascist, or a self-righteous person if it is tempered with presenting the forgiveness and the love that God offers in Christ. Even after coming to Christ, we have to recognize when we have erred. Why? Not that we can be condemned or condemn others, but that we may turn from them and receive the restoration and righteousness of God in our lives. All have sinned, but all have the opportunity to repent and walk in the love of Christ.</p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-17550159722424734952022-12-05T05:00:00.001-08:002022-12-09T11:32:05.141-08:00The Submitted Christian: Three Necessary Characteristics<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2y-zvVdDn9lNdTNgsNLeK5wm6ZYGwIV46g8o7DJo483pgbXLt2nvOSlWqmuEhQNrvpeGyiAgPzpRrBl54pgOgaGmi-UArg4h79wEG7Sq26rMXYlBvjlJQ_L1dyJlSIj3yPzdB17_Ba3hLqpr6DFSCeLxjP1dC2JPWD1PbWscSe13ECO1inviHEBxeIQ/s150/file8091336664207%20(1).jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="113" data-original-width="150" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2y-zvVdDn9lNdTNgsNLeK5wm6ZYGwIV46g8o7DJo483pgbXLt2nvOSlWqmuEhQNrvpeGyiAgPzpRrBl54pgOgaGmi-UArg4h79wEG7Sq26rMXYlBvjlJQ_L1dyJlSIj3yPzdB17_Ba3hLqpr6DFSCeLxjP1dC2JPWD1PbWscSe13ECO1inviHEBxeIQ/w352-h265/file8091336664207%20(1).jpg" width="352" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">How to surrender to the will of God! Every Christian has to come up with a game plan of surrender. In spite of internal opposition, one has to discover the will of God. However, some consistently ask, “What is the will of God?” An important question that has a simple answer. In his letter to the Romans, Paul made a clear declaration of the ultimate will of God. Even if you do not know what “calling” is on your life, just know that everyone has one calling in common.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><i><b>For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29)</b></i></p><p style="text-align: justify;">We have to understand that the will of God for every believer is that we become like Christ. Our service to Him is secondary to our character. When we understand this, our walk with Christ will not be frustrating.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">This is why Paul challenged the believers at the Roman church to present themselves to God as a living sacrifice. The way we surrender to the will of God is by presenting our bodies to the Lord. We prove what the will of God is when we live holy. In addition, we are to live separate from the world. There are three foundational components to fulfilling the will of God regardless of your area of ministry and service.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">First, you must be morally upright; that is, holy. This is not denominational or occupational. It is living according to the righteous standards for morality as outlined by the scriptures.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Second, you must be separate from the ungodly influences and the course of the world’s system. When we come to Christ, we enter into His kingdom. The world is in darkness and driven by lusts. Hence, the Christian can no longer live as one who has no knowledge of God.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Third, you must be prepared to be conformed to the image of Christ. Many do not progress in their relationship with Christ due to lack of expectation. They do not believe they can actually be like Christ. They use their humanity as an excuse to continue to please themselves and their desires. However, Christians have to develop a desire to surrender to God above their desire to please their personal wishes.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The will of God is to have sons and daughters. Therefore, when Christ came, He came in the form of a son. He was to be the pattern that we should follow. He lived a holy and righteous life and He never conformed to the world’s system, but He came in affirmation and demonstration of the Father’s love and character. This is the foundation of surrendering to the will of God.</p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-53842851461743017692022-10-24T18:04:00.001-07:002022-10-24T18:04:14.506-07:00The Christian and Hard Times: Understanding the Role of Trials and Tests<p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDX-G_UU4mVZVb9kuups1WUGqg9w1QqT7l0SMV2eepA_Gd5RcbEm1qdW_9tXnsTACut1utX3goobM1lWSqOVjUDmkhy64sGerJcyDTdbGzEqCWew8KLxZu0nlgV1T5_Yjuea5M9FMXyAL_/s602/picture1+%25286%2529.jpg" style="clear: right; display: inline !important; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="402" data-original-width="602" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDX-G_UU4mVZVb9kuups1WUGqg9w1QqT7l0SMV2eepA_Gd5RcbEm1qdW_9tXnsTACut1utX3goobM1lWSqOVjUDmkhy64sGerJcyDTdbGzEqCWew8KLxZu0nlgV1T5_Yjuea5M9FMXyAL_/s320/picture1+%25286%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></p><div style="text-align: justify;">If only the Christian could learn the art of mastering trials, tests, and troubles! Do you ever wonder why God allows us to suffer? If He is loving and faithful, why are we expected to endure seemingly unnecessary trials and tests? Though there is no simple answer to these questions, we can discover some reasons for trials, tests, and troubles in the life of the Christian.</div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Before discussing these, we want to make one sure statement: The Christian who will embrace trials and tests as a part of the Christian experience will learn quickly how to navigate through them.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">David declared in the Psalms that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers them out of them all. One main reason that God allows things to come our way is that He will bring us out of all of them. It is for this cause He allows us to go through some things, because He delights in showing His power. However, from biblical examples and exhortations, we can discover 3 benefits of trials and tests.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">First, trials and tests come to produce reverence for God. They come into the lives of believers to produce a reverential fear of God. Nevertheless, this fear is to be coupled with humility. Trials, tests, and God’s subsequent deliverance from them, bring the believers into a personal encounter with God’s greatness and power.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Where there is no fear of God, people will not exercise restraint. Where there is no humility before God, there is no regard for His standards. Where there is no regard for His standards, there is no place of repentance, which leads to experiencing judgment at His return.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Second, trials and tests come to produce a faith-filled relationship. God allows believers to have trouble to produce faith and patience in them. When one experiences sickness and God heals him, faith is gained in that area. When one faces financial difficulties and the Lord provides, faith for finances is acquired.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Many believers do not submit to this process. Situations that are designed to produce faith have inadvertently produced disillusion and depression in some. Believers must realize that God is sovereign and will never forsake them.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Third, trials and tests surface to produce zeal for Christ. Believers experience trials, which should produce faith and not frustration. The remembrance of the trials and God’s subsequent deliverance should not produce anxiety. It should build a legacy of God’s love and concern for us.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">When one understands the place of trials and tests, they will not spend time trying to escape these inevitabilities. Embrace your trials and tests knowing it will work for your good.</p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-88418555507463639292022-09-21T15:42:00.002-07:002022-09-21T15:42:25.132-07:00MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS: FOCUSING ON YOUR PERSONAL WALK WITH CHRIST<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidrCbia5NzHlFi0WN5V8GufH5ETv-Igkzzda5w7ixcXX79iAXyAwWyBd6bppozI1-whZzXnlhi0RcgDhi8Kf7WSCsTwXYjEL8fai4NF7DPS5gKYoyC6x4jixV3YcNTvFmGW3PzLe3M9pXX/s774/splas.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="506" data-original-width="774" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidrCbia5NzHlFi0WN5V8GufH5ETv-Igkzzda5w7ixcXX79iAXyAwWyBd6bppozI1-whZzXnlhi0RcgDhi8Kf7WSCsTwXYjEL8fai4NF7DPS5gKYoyC6x4jixV3YcNTvFmGW3PzLe3M9pXX/s320/splas.jpg" width="320" /></a>I know, I know, I know. The title of this lesson seems kind of harsh. Trust me, you will get it as you read on. In life, there are times when we have heard others use this expression or we have (or wanted to) use this expression in response to someone’s curiosity. Though oftentimes, it is used as a defensive and derogatory statement, it does hold value for the Christian. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Consider these verses…</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me. John 21:20-22 (KJV)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Jesus is giving instructions to Peter concerning his future work and ministry. Yet, Peter becomes preoccupied with thinking about what someone else (John) will do. But Jesus’ response of “what is that to thee” is in a sense, asking Peter “what business is that of yours?” In essence, He is telling Peter to mind his own business and worry about himself. He then tells Peter, “Follow Me.”</p><p style="text-align: justify;">How many times have we become preoccupied with the affairs of others that we neglect what is before us? We know there are numerous issues and problems within Christianity and the Church caused by others. However, we cannot spend too much time focusing on others, but make sure that we are doing what Christ would have for us to do.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">We can become distracted by someone else’s wrong doing. Though we may be affected by the negative actions and attitudes of others, we cannot allow these things to remove our focus from Christ.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! Luke 17:1 (KJV)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">It is true that we can get hurt or offended, but Jesus said that offenses will come. We must remember to forgive and allow His peace to guard our hearts.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7 (KJV)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">We sometimes can become distracted by the labor of others in the Christian community. Sometimes, we can focus on what others are or are not doing that we do not do what we are supposed to do for Christ. This is what Peter demonstrated. Christ finished challenging his love and commitment and Peter asks about John. It was really not to be his concern at that time, but prepare to follow what Christ had instructed him to do. Martha also fell into this trap. She rebuked Jesus because of what Mary was doing.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. Luke 10:40 (KJV)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">So, remember to mind (or should I say FOCUS) on your own business; that is, the things that you are to do for Him. It will bless you and, in turn, be of great benefit to others.</p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-36345151384443501472022-09-12T23:49:00.004-07:002022-09-12T23:54:52.560-07:00REDIRECTING THE FOCUS: GETTING BEYOND OURSELVES AND OTHERS<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaeSo86Z5380UwZID4rPKizA50yOb48t_rW0faSiFIy4r7dx2u1iCrF4Ca0Whp52YlWjKMIfc09I3Tpqr3XQdP3rwhfCaH0lz2T7Hi0vej-BVMjdBNRcuQloThdR9wiFUMdBElqbF9ABNm/s2048/Asif+Akbar.jpg" style="font-family: "PT Serif", serif; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1460" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaeSo86Z5380UwZID4rPKizA50yOb48t_rW0faSiFIy4r7dx2u1iCrF4Ca0Whp52YlWjKMIfc09I3Tpqr3XQdP3rwhfCaH0lz2T7Hi0vej-BVMjdBNRcuQloThdR9wiFUMdBElqbF9ABNm/s320/Asif+Akbar.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><span style="color: white;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><span> <span> </span></span>The precepts in this post are designed to redirect the Christian’s focus. It is easy to become distracted in our Christian journey. We have to live with ourselves and others; each of which can cause the believer’s focus to be shifted. Learn to redirect your focus on what is important.</div></span></span><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: white; font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"><b>No More Excuses</b></span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: white; font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"><span> </span><span> </span>Excuses! Excuses! Excuses! Have you ever met someone who had nothing but excuses? After a while, it becomes evident that excuses become covers for some internal weakness or hindrance. Many are afraid to try and then fail. Is that you? Others are afraid of responsibility and accountability that comes from promotion and success? Is that you? Others are just plain lazy. They love personal comfort. They want maximum results with little effort. Is that you? It is time for no more excuses. It is time to redirect your focus.</span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: white; font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"><span> </span><span> </span>Excuses, however, is the shield that many Christians use to justify their lack of growth and maturity in the walk with Christ. Many say that the Church is not right. This is an excuse for non-attendance. Others say that they were hurt or disappointed by those in the Church. This becomes an excuse not to fellowship. Then, there are those who say the Bible is hard to understand and their prayer time does not seem spiritual. This serves as an excuse not develop a relationship through the study of the scriptures and personal prayer and devotion. In this lesson, we want to deal with a chief excuse among Christians as to the lack of service, devotion, and development of their relationship with God. It is four powerful letters – L-I-F-E.</span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: white; font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"><span> </span><span> </span>There are numerous things in life that cannot and will not change. For reasons unknown, God does allow Christians to experience many hard and challenging situations. Because of the intensity, stress, and difficulty that life brings, many are in a holding pattern in the walk with God. They are waiting for life to slow down; that is, become easier. When this happens, then they will develop their relationship with Christ. This is not a good posture to take with one’s personal salvation and spiritual growth.</span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: white; font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"><span> </span><span> </span>The Bible tells us that Christians will suffer and David’s words are true where he states that many are the affliction of the righteous. However, the trials, tests, and tribulations that come are no excuse to stop pursuing Him and developing our relationship with Him. If you never get the job you want, pursue Him. If you never get married, pursue Him. If members of your family do not receive Him, pursue Him. Do not allow things that you cannot change to become excuses for your lack of personal growth and maturity.</span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: white; font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"><span> </span><span> </span>Does this mean that I should not pray and stand in expectation? NO! However, it does mean that if God sees fit to allow the situation to continue, do not lose your faith in Him. He knows all things. The Bible is full of stories of people who served God, but had to experience very, very, hard times. Just know this that if we suffer with Him, we will reign in the life that is to come. Some feel that because their lives are not going how they would like, there is no real reason to continue to serve Him. Do not allow this mindset to grip you. Remember, our salvation not only has promise in this life, but the one that is to come. In that Day, you will not remember and the difficulties of this life will not come into mind. There will be rejoicing and reward.</span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: white; font-family: PT Serif, serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"> Lose the excuses. Allow God to continue to develop you. Allow His light to shine even in hard situations. If you have lasted this long, it is only because He has been with you. Go on to maturity in Him that in the middle of your worst situations, you can maintain joy, peace, strength, and an ever increasing faith in Him. It is only in losing personal excuses that the Christian is able to focus on Christ and His plan and purpose for his/her life.</span></span></p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-74082507100540124632022-04-23T16:47:00.005-07:002022-04-23T16:57:26.519-07:00Which Road are You On?<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZeZaVIhfa0ftIvDEfs4hJrKfqmCBBwkykQcse4YWZA8cjpwi841LyGSuoXjbsMgbH6IOJ0ZNNimPfxmja67NtKj7STHcbkg-m8hepJDRlWo-SonHExZad-Ccxbn0wqU8Kte_llC46P7SYTFexkTKXE0xjtUEPq6K4XEa2JummtE9xavj_24NqFYQ_HA/s1500/ea7925b27b463da911dfea87ca2340f2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="1500" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZeZaVIhfa0ftIvDEfs4hJrKfqmCBBwkykQcse4YWZA8cjpwi841LyGSuoXjbsMgbH6IOJ0ZNNimPfxmja67NtKj7STHcbkg-m8hepJDRlWo-SonHExZad-Ccxbn0wqU8Kte_llC46P7SYTFexkTKXE0xjtUEPq6K4XEa2JummtE9xavj_24NqFYQ_HA/s320/ea7925b27b463da911dfea87ca2340f2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Everyone is on a road to an eternal destination. In life, different roads can be taken on a journey to reach a particular destination. Though we can compare our walk with Christ as a journey, there is only one way to reach our destination of heaven. You cannot enter into the kingdom of God any which way you choose.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Matt 7:13 (KJV)</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Some promote the ideology that you do not need to go to church; that is, fellowship with other Christians or even receive Christ to enter into heaven. But, as Christians, we must stand on the truth that reception of Christ, fellowship with other Christians, and striving to live a life pleasing to Him is a perquisite for entrance into heaven.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">With the advent of personal GPS devices, people no longer have to depend on standard maps to reach their destinations. Now, they can pick and choose the route that they would like to take, rather than standard routes. This is fine for personal travel. However, this phenomenon has taken on spiritual implications.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">In the Church, individuals are now using “spiritual” GPS systems to determine how they will live for Christ and enter into heaven. They forsake the road map of Christ and those things that are written. Many times, the “GPS” used is based upon feelings and intellectual reasoning which is causing many to deviate from the path set before men by Christ’s example and exhortations of scripture.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">The scriptures verify that life is a journey. Here are 4 signs (among many) that we must pay attention to as we are on the Christian journey.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Stop – Certain activities are inconsistent with the Christian life. To live in sin is not an option. We can stop (overcome) sin while we live in this life.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Detour – Sometimes, we must learn to do things differently. Detours come up to show us that a path that was once acceptable is no longer accessible.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Yield – This sign prepares you to slow down. As Christians, we have to slow down and yield to direction and inspiration of the Spirit.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Road Work Up Ahead – We have to be prepared for God’s pruning and maturing process in our lives. As Christian, we must know that spiritual road work is up ahead as we live for Him.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">We must be committed to a successful journey. Remember to pay attention to the spiritual road signs. In doing so, you will have success as a Christian in this life and with joy, you will enter into the life that is to come.</span></p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-8347396600360766202022-04-16T00:32:00.000-07:002022-04-16T00:32:11.930-07:00Do You Love the World?<p> </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5zgCBuWw-OPmAkT_nd86XFVVgxfGdIvX-In7_z_imMr_gBZ4Ct9HmO4YOrwJwycKP3hVvXccdtKqIRXQTOyqLbfmfH8_PtZTMdtXmsKXI1UVW6D0PuCJojZA-1Sct8WrOISM2zTIkg07py2fXDw7e0WmGF5kq0G8MQthaiJOFKPVnni-LB6I-tWWaFQ/s2414/pexels-karolina-grabowska-8147403g.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2209" data-original-width="2414" height="293" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5zgCBuWw-OPmAkT_nd86XFVVgxfGdIvX-In7_z_imMr_gBZ4Ct9HmO4YOrwJwycKP3hVvXccdtKqIRXQTOyqLbfmfH8_PtZTMdtXmsKXI1UVW6D0PuCJojZA-1Sct8WrOISM2zTIkg07py2fXDw7e0WmGF5kq0G8MQthaiJOFKPVnni-LB6I-tWWaFQ/s320/pexels-karolina-grabowska-8147403g.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: PlusJakartaSans, -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Oxygen, Cantarell, "Helvetica Neue", Ubuntu, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: start; white-space: pre;">Photo by Karolina Grabowska</span></td></tr></tbody></table></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Christians
have to be on guard against the allures of the world. Every Christian has to
ask himself, “Do I Love the World?” If so, one has to turn from this and give 100
percent to their Christian walk. In essence, one has to become a “sell-out.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">When we
usually hear the term “sell-out,” it is usually in a derogatory manner. Someone
who is a sell-out has forsaken an alliance for another. We have to become
“sell-outs” for Christ. We have to remain commitment to Christ and the faith.
We have to forsake the world and the lusts thereof. If we are not careful, the
world will ensnare us with its enticements.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><i><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Love not
the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any
man love the <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>world, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">We have
to break our allegiance with the world. We cannot think, act, and live as
unbelievers. In addition, we have to become sell-outs to friends and
family at times; if not, we will not be able to say assuredly that we do not

have healthy family, friend, and other interpersonal relationships. These will
help us to overcome the world and not submit to its
seductions. Acquaintances can sometimes keep us in familiar patterns and
habits. To break this, separation is sometimes needed. Separation is not always
a physical separation. However, a separation from the influence of ungodly
family and friends is required. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">We must
also forsake selfish motives, ambitions, and desires. These attributes will
bring stagnation to our spiritual growth. We must recognize them and remove
them. This is the only way we can avoid the allure and attractions of the
world. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">

remember to forsake the world and its lusts, forsake the influence of
ungodly family and friends, and forsake selfish motives and ambitions. If
we will do these things, we can give an answer to the question of whether we

its earliest days, Christianity has been the object of ridicule and debate. The
actions of those who called themselves Christians did not help with the world’s
view of Christianity. History tells us the Inquisition and Papal corruption all
in the name of Christianity. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Today,
we see this trend of those associated with Christianity misrepresenting the
name of Christ. Because of this, many are ashamed to call themselves Christians because of negative
perceptions. Are you committed to Christ and willing to be identified with the
faith? However, Christians have to take the same sentiment as Paul.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

are many ways that the Christian submits to God. One of the chief ways to learn
submission to God is through the word of God. It has to be authority
in the life of the believer. Its authority has to reach the very conscience of
the Christian. The word of God teaches us how to submit to God when we submit
to it. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Submitting
to the Word not only entails quoting it, but consistent application of the Word
in daily living. In order to do this, one
has to believe that
the scriptures, as recorded, are the final authority on
righteousness, religion, and relationship with God. Paul states, <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><i><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of
God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (II Timothy
3:16-17) <o:p></o:p></span></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">One
cannot submit to the authority of the Word, if there is no belief in the Word.
The Word of God contains the answers to life’s problems and gives us the tools needed to
succeed in our walk with the Lord. The Word causes us to know who we are in Christ and shows how we can overcome
the flesh and its desires. It is only through following what is written, will we be able to
die to ourselves. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We can
only overcome sin, through obeying the Word. If we obey the Word, we will not
obey the lusts and desires of the flesh. Our way is cleansed by giving
heed to the Word of God. It will transform our thoughts and conscience. We,
thus, are secured in our salvation. Submission to the authority of the Word of God
aids us in our endeavor to please God in three ways: It assures us of our salvation,
instructs us in righteousness, and gives us tools necessary for victorious
living.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The Word
has to be the final authority in our lives. It challenges the hearts and minds
of Christians to walk in righteousness. The Word exposes the inner thoughts and
intents of the heart. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><i><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">For the
word of God is <a name="34109x7"></a>quick, and <a name="34109x9"></a>powerful, and
sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul
and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart. Heb 4:12 (KJV)<o:p></o:p></span></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> Without
it, we will deceive ourselves and not be able to overcome the battlefield of
“self.” But, if we receive the word of God with gladness, we will learn how to
submit to God with ease.</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-2087516528033590442022-02-08T18:30:00.126-08:002022-02-08T18:30:00.184-08:00The Successful Christian<div style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiF_fshDRRWeeuxtMi7gGNTKctaaJfqcJXSmePzgeJB9vOYlU__Js-BvvgYHGRGAlIJLt58KRmGa2VXW-CDH0tOi-IK2c7OmGZTL9sBqW_taIFgwtDAo8gW3kpXYjGY1KTmr2RujIr9-qNoypjJuw8wPN0cz7NDdNH0BH1EEfIyqxfQbEBpyC2pJPiY6A=s2080" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1544" data-original-width="2080" height="238" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiF_fshDRRWeeuxtMi7gGNTKctaaJfqcJXSmePzgeJB9vOYlU__Js-BvvgYHGRGAlIJLt58KRmGa2VXW-CDH0tOi-IK2c7OmGZTL9sBqW_taIFgwtDAo8gW3kpXYjGY1KTmr2RujIr9-qNoypjJuw8wPN0cz7NDdNH0BH1EEfIyqxfQbEBpyC2pJPiY6A=s320" width="320" /></a></div><div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;"><span><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;"><br /></span></span></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><p style="text-align: justify;">Success is the goal of many men and women. Regardless of the venue (work, sports, relationships, hobbies, etc.), people desire to achieve. The world is full of driven men and women who set their eyes on success and did not allow anything to stop them. Some of the most powerful companies began with individuals who had nothing but success on their minds.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Josh 1:8 (KJV)</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">As Christians, we have to evaluate our motivation in this life. Though we should strive for success in as many areas of life as possible, we should have the greatest ambition to be successful in our Christian walk.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">After we have gone back to school, acquired substantial occupations, and managing family relationship and endeavors, we have to remember that the ultimate quest is to become a successful Christian. How can this be done?</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;">It can be done through an inner transformation. The very conscience of the Christian has to be renewed in the knowledge of God. This can be achieved by adhering to His Word. The Christian is cleansed as he takes heed to the Word.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Psalms 119:9 (KJV)</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">In our beginning verses, God speaks to Joshua and gives him keys to success. The main key is to remember the Law or the word of God. If we are to have success as Christians, we have to allow the word of God to govern our lives, perspectives, and consciences.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Col 3:10 (KJV)</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">In doing so, we can maintain a vibrant relationship with Christ while we accomplish certain tasks and goals. God is not opposed to the Christian’s success in life, but desires that one does without sacrificing their relationship with Him.</span></p></div><p></p></div><p></p>

In schools, there are students who stay up late and study hard while others cram and procrastinate. Yet, those who procrastinate are upset when the others achieve high marks.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You wonder why would they be upset with the others and not with themselves, seeing that they did not put in the necessary time, energy, and effort. Yet, this happens not only in education, but in all areas of life. They do not give their best but want the best. This same scenario is even found in the lives of Christians.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify;"><i><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">But unto
Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his
countenance fell. Gen 4:5 (KJV)<o:p></o:p></span></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The
story of Cain and Abel is a clear representation of this phenomenon. Abel
brought God his best and it was received. Conversely, Cain brought whatever he
wanted and it was not received; Cain got upset. Today, examine your walk with
Christ. Are you upset at other Christians who seem to be successful in their
walk with God? It is probably because they are bringing God their best. But the
“best” does not reside only in the quality of service, but in the character
behind the service. Cain lacked both.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Remember,
in the story of Cain and Abel, they each did bring an offering. So, our best is
not revealed in performing religious activities and devotion, but in our
attitude and approach. To bring God your best is to do it with the right
motives and a sincere heart. Cain did not bring his best offering due to his
attitude, while Abel’s proper attitude was revealed in him bringing the best.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The
Christian, today, has to be honest. When you pray, read, serve, minister, and
attend services, are you bringing God your best? Again, this is revealed in
your attitude and approach. These are affected by your level of spiritual
growth and development. Your character as a Christian will directly influence
whether you are bringing God your best. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Do you
do render service and faithful to God out of necessity and fear or from a pure
heart with gladness. Gladness of heart comes
from a place of mature character.
David encouraged the worshippers to “serve the Lord with gladness.” <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

Some live their lives trying to impress others that their perception of them may be favorable. Even if we do not admit it openly, many of our activities and conversations are motivated by the desire to be accepted and well thought of. Much time is spent wondering, “What do people think of me?” </span></span></div><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Though we should strive to have a good reputation as Christians, it cannot dominate our motivation for how we live. The opinion of others will change according to circumstance, situation, and other invariables. Thus, their perception of you cannot always be trusted. This shows us that the Christian has to judge his lifestyle by this question, “What does God think of Me?” God’s view of us should challenge the Christian’s <span style="text-indent: 0.5in;">character development.</span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Job 1:8 (KJV)</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We find in the scriptures that God thought and spoke well of Job. Have you ever thought that if God held a conversation about you, what would it consist of? From the Job account, we discover four things that God thought and spoke of with Job. The desire of the Christian should be that God could say the same of us.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">None like him – God said that there was none like Job in the earth. This speaks to the Christians individuality. Are you a person who goes with the crowd? Can you only function by feeling accepted? Job stood out from everyone else. In your walk with Christ, you should strive to stand out, not for personal glory, but that all may be able to behold His presence in your life.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Perfect and Upright – God said that Job was perfect and upright. This speaks to the Christian’s maturity and integrity. Like Job, one should strive to grow and mature in the faith. Your life should be an example to others of the conduct of those who know Christ.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Fears God – Job feared God. This implies Job’s reverence and respect for God. He understood that God was good, gracious, and all powerful. His conduct reflected his fear of God. Do you respect and appreciate God? Does your lifestyle reflect His goodness, graciousness, and awesome power?</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Eschews evil – Job shunned evil. This demonstrates Job’s zeal for righteous living that he actively avoid sinful practices. Christ came to save us from sin. As Christians, we should, like Job, avoid the very appearance of evil that the testimony of Christ be not hindered.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What does God think of you? This is the question that every Christian should ask. In doing so, the Christian’s character can be perfected in Him.</span></p><div style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><br /></div>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-27605913436048389352021-12-28T05:30:00.028-08:002021-12-28T05:30:00.191-08:00 Dedicated Despite the Controversy<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;"></span></p><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiEq6fkTBAXJUCp8Xzh7zi3Ya5pytfPql5YnFsCNXJlwWOLGugseVndutyz9vf3WReRcaJCybzCWPui3-iXkcmuD2Tz2yJuFqIcQqYsah7oXvF3qLP3pMuot7Q6QLIshnPxmqkrttJ9rouoXS12k0Tcod7DWEgVzNxM5ROpK2YV6fWOtpo6I7999svQmw=s6000" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="6000" height="172" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiEq6fkTBAXJUCp8Xzh7zi3Ya5pytfPql5YnFsCNXJlwWOLGugseVndutyz9vf3WReRcaJCybzCWPui3-iXkcmuD2Tz2yJuFqIcQqYsah7oXvF3qLP3pMuot7Q6QLIshnPxmqkrttJ9rouoXS12k0Tcod7DWEgVzNxM5ROpK2YV6fWOtpo6I7999svQmw=w260-h172" width="260" /></a></div><span> </span>Life brings controversy; that is, opposition, resistance and perplexing situations. However, the Christian must master the inevitable trials, tests, and frustrations and remain dedicated to Christian living and service. In order to remain dedicated, continual self-examination is needed.</span></div><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: center;"><i><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. 2 Cor 13:5(KJV)<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Self-examination
always leads to questions. These questions should challenge you to look at
yourself in a candid fashion. Responding truthfully will keep you focused
despite the inevitabilities of life. One important question that should arise
through self-evaluation is “What is my dedication level?” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Dedication
strengthens
your resolve<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>to </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">stand
during tough times. Christians have to appreciate the Value of Dedication. It
helps stabilize your life when things around you are out of control. So, that
even as a Christian, you can continue to grow in faith and knowledge when the
world around you seems to be in chaos.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">In order
to answer the question “What is my dedication level?” - You have to know
specifically what should you be dedicated to. In the Christian walk, our
dedication can be measured by three areas of interest. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">If you
consider these areas, then you will be
able to say unashamedly that you are a dedicated follower of<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Christ<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>even
when<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>life is unfavorable.
We will examine each briefly.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Dedicated
to Christ. Dedication begins with an unwavering devotion to Christ. You have to<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>be dedicated to His
commands and commission. The goal of your existence has to be to please<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Him. Why? There is an eternal reward.
If your<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>daily existence is not
characterized by this mindset, then you
are not dedicated totally. You will crumble when the inevitable tough times arise.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Dedicated
to Development. When you give your life to Christ, a dedication to spiritual growth
and development in the faith is vital. The only way one can grow is through the
study of the Word<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and through prayer. So, you have to evaluate<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>your prayer life. Is it healthy and
vibrant?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">You have
to examine your time in reading the scriptures. Do you make excuses for not
reading? Your dedication level is small if you are not willing to challenge yourself
to grow personally<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>in<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the Christian <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>faith. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Consequently, you will bow to difficulties.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Dedicated
to Christian Service. Christian service cannot be separated from the Christian
faith. Regardless of your activities in the church, from preaching to feeding
the hungry, you have to be dedicated. It is not always easy because you may
have to serve in light of the negative responses of people and unfavorable
conditions. This is where dedication becomes crucial.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Dedication
does require personal sacrifice and commitment. However, in light of all that
God did for us in Christ, it is worth the effort. Challenge yourself on this
day that your level of dedication in the faith will increase despite the
challenges of life and ministry.<o:p></o:p></span></p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-36015896849766997302021-12-21T09:21:00.016-08:002021-12-21T09:21:00.154-08:00 Foiling Frustrations<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgBxTEtiACp9dxfFKERtAwNbdzC6tJNaGcgCrkh_STt39vty9ERSmwpZSHVD1nsNrSAlgq7kiyHjzT0-RLDHwcvSLM9Fcdhw3YJAxyAc8Jj3lZwDxi2KUsdk6UzbPrMijsyC1axGJOFvEuUNhOHL_fkttMBUWWIR0zg644fkLvMaV2LXlS-otFFuvX_UA=s5760" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3840" data-original-width="5760" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgBxTEtiACp9dxfFKERtAwNbdzC6tJNaGcgCrkh_STt39vty9ERSmwpZSHVD1nsNrSAlgq7kiyHjzT0-RLDHwcvSLM9Fcdhw3YJAxyAc8Jj3lZwDxi2KUsdk6UzbPrMijsyC1axGJOFvEuUNhOHL_fkttMBUWWIR0zg644fkLvMaV2LXlS-otFFuvX_UA=s320" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">In
military action, they have covert operations. These are military campaigns,
which are done undercover to surprise and subdue <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the adversary. In
Christianity, there is a covert operation in place by the adversary; that is, frustration.
Frustration is an inevitable part of life; even the
Christian life. Frustration surfaces because life does not stop. Even
those that have faith in God can sometimes sink into this pit of discouragement,
depression, and despair. The words of David become the hallmark of existence,<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><i><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">My God,
my God, why hast thou <a name="16336x8"></a>forsaken me? Why art thou so far from
helping me, and from the words of my roaring? Psalms 22:1 (KJV)<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Have <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>you <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>ever
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>wondered: <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Why does
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>God </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">allow us
to suffer? Why does He seem so uninterested at times to our supplications and
prayers? It feels as if He does not care about what we are going through. We
know from David’s words and the words of Christ on the cross that it happens in
the life of those who possess faith in God.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">We may
not always understand why or receive an answer from Him about why we have to go
through so many bad things. Yet, we must maintain our faith, hope, and trust in
Him. To master frustration, we want to leave three points of consideration. If
you remember these, you will do well.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">First,
God is not a liar. Though it may seem as if God has forsaken you and left you
alone, He gave a promise saying that He will never leave you, nor forsake you.
Even when it seems like He is not there, He is. His presence is the only reason
you have not quit or had a breakdown. He is there.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Second,
God has a plan and purpose in all things. It does seem insensitive when someone
says to us that God has a plan when we are experiencing devastating situations:
such as death, sickness, loss of job, and other life changing events. It seems
this way because we forget that ultimately, God’s plan revolves around the
souls of men and their salvation rather than a person’s personal comfort. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">We may
not always agree, but God is love and wants what is best for us. Either
negative circumstances can draw us closer to Him or we can allow them to push
us away from Him. In
addition, God’s plan may be that others see your faith in the midst of your <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>trials <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and
troubles, </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">which
brings glory to Him.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Third,
God gives peace. Jesus promised His disciples peace. He told them that they
would have problems, but His peace and joy would be with them. Some Christians
do not recall this. God gives peace and joy because we will experience
hardships and difficulties. The problem is that we focus on God changing the
situation, rather than on the fact that He can give peace, joy, grace, and
strength while we go through it. The peace of God is available, but we have to
ask for it, receive it, and walk in it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Though
frustration surfaces, it does not have to master us. We can trust His love;
knowing He will do justly in our lives.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Continue to believe, hope, and trust knowing that frustration does not
have to be your lot. You can foil your frustrations before they dominate you.<o:p></o:p></span></p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-33508868019563263212021-11-30T23:02:00.000-08:002021-11-30T23:02:09.753-08:00Concerning Trials and Tests<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiaheRxE4O92TrYH2AtzJSm9GSjcfNE5uSsn851oaEPjOB1EiGwqm66ndkQJ7QIsq14D4PRmLePtrRNUtjFHhglHhbyxGHXsm4zoocp45Na2MRx9TckEeIynMkpyjgHN-ABjylcbBHJ0KfT34TDxn0lkk1ZPXa7ffXXvn952XJeD2mVfTqoNnke2dsz6w=s1200" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="828" data-original-width="1200" height="221" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiaheRxE4O92TrYH2AtzJSm9GSjcfNE5uSsn851oaEPjOB1EiGwqm66ndkQJ7QIsq14D4PRmLePtrRNUtjFHhglHhbyxGHXsm4zoocp45Na2MRx9TckEeIynMkpyjgHN-ABjylcbBHJ0KfT34TDxn0lkk1ZPXa7ffXXvn952XJeD2mVfTqoNnke2dsz6w=s320" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">If only
the Christian could learn the art of mastering trials, tests, and troubles! Do
you ever wonder why God allows us to suffer? If He is loving and faithful, why
are we expected to endure seemingly unnecessary trials and tests? Though there
is no simple answer to these questions, we can discover some reasons for
trials, tests, and troubles in the life of the Christian. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Before
discussing these, we want to make one sure statement: The Christian who will
embrace trials and tests as a part of the Christian experience will learn
quickly how to navigate through them.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">David
declared in the Psalms that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God
delivers them out of them all. One main reason that God allows things to come
our way is that He will bring us out of all of them. It is for this cause He
allows us to go through some things, because He delights in showing His power.
However, from biblical examples and exhortations, we can discover 3 benefits of
trials and tests.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">First,
trials and tests come to produce reverence for God. They come into the lives of
believers to produce a reverential fear of God. Nevertheless, this fear is to
be coupled with humility. Trials, tests, and God’s subsequent deliverance from
them, bring the believers into a personal encounter with God’s greatness and
power. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Where
there is no fear of God, people will not exercise restraint. Where there is no
humility before God, there is no regard for His standards. Where there <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>is no <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>regard for His standards, there </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">is </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">no</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">place
</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">of </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">repentance, </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">which </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">leads
to experiencing judgment at His return.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Second,
trials and tests come to produce a faith-filled relationship. God allows
believers to have trouble to produce faith and patience in them. When one
experiences sickness and God heals him, faith is gained in that area. When one
faces financial difficulties and the Lord provides, faith for finances is
acquired. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;">Many
believers do not submit to this process. Situations that are designed to produce
faith have inadvertently produced disillusion and depression in some. Believers

Every Christian has to come up with a game plan of surrender. In spite of internal opposition, one has to discover the will of God. However, some consistently ask, “What is the will of God?” An important question that has a simple answer.</span></p><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">In his letter to the Romans, Paul made a clear declaration of the ultimate will of God. Even if you do not know what “calling” is on your life, just know that everyone has one calling in common.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29) </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">We have to understand that the will of God for every believer is that we become like Christ. Our service to Him is secondary to our character. When we understand this, our walk with Christ will not be frustrating. <span style="white-space: pre;"> </span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">This is why Paul challenged the believers at the Roman church to present themselves to God as a living sacrifice. The way we surrender to the will of God is by presenting our bodies to the Lord. We prove what the will of God is when we live holy. In addition, we are to live separate from the world. There are three foundational components to fulfilling the will of God regardless of your area of ministry and service.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">First, you must be morally upright; that is, holy. This is not denominational or occupational. It is living according to the righteous standards for morality as outlined by the scriptures.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Second, you must be separate from the ungodly influences and the course of the world’s system. When we come to Christ, we enter into His kingdom. The world is in darkness and driven by lusts. Hence, the Christian can no longer live as one who has no knowledge of God.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">Third, you must be prepared to be conformed to the image of Christ. Many do not progress in their relationship with Christ due to lack of expectation. They do not believe they can actually be like Christ. They use their humanity as an excuse to continue to please themselves and their desires. However, Christians have to develop a desire to surrender to God above their desire to please their personal wishes. </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px; line-height: 150%;"></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 18.6667px;">The will of God is to have sons and daughters. Therefore, when Christ came, He came in the form of a son. He was to be the pattern that we should follow. He lived a holy and righteous life and He never conformed to the world’s system, but He came in affirmation and demonstration of the Father’s love and character. This is the foundation of surrendering to the will of God.</span></p><div style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 48px;"><br /></div>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-76991992641357876692021-11-01T17:28:00.008-07:002021-11-01T17:28:00.152-07:00 What Is Your Reason for Being?<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjDqf8Vl8M8oV08B-fGqNVSWHvXg8bUeSjv6OVkv9uyRWrdS8BIycvx3vrP_uFT8CEeAAlD3h2VYaiFF7cO9UrU_nfF2orARkY6QRYP6w-lsuV8GbYKpKIGOvhYcN--Vcui7G1rqA6xqeZ9P-0ZV9Di2WuQN7XVHCdQifsmOs8hfz1S9L5bSTDw8sJNag=s1500" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="849" data-original-width="1500" height="181" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjDqf8Vl8M8oV08B-fGqNVSWHvXg8bUeSjv6OVkv9uyRWrdS8BIycvx3vrP_uFT8CEeAAlD3h2VYaiFF7cO9UrU_nfF2orARkY6QRYP6w-lsuV8GbYKpKIGOvhYcN--Vcui7G1rqA6xqeZ9P-0ZV9Di2WuQN7XVHCdQifsmOs8hfz1S9L5bSTDw8sJNag=s320" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Every Christian should ask this question: What makes me a Christian? And, if I am a Christian, what should define my “being” as a Christian? If Christians do not know their reason for being, they will not be all they can be in Christ Jesus. Christians have to understand that they can only define themselves based upon biblical standards. This is because culture and Christianity have varying viewpoints about what “being” a Christian is. </div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">The Christian, then, has to learn to define their being in terms of their relationship with Christ (righteousness and character), rather than by the culture (which focuses mostly on external traits -strength, money, stature, beauty, family, etc).</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Before going further, the Christian should understand: 1) A Christian’s being is not based upon external characteristics, but internal traits. 2) The Definition of a Christian is found in the image of God. 3) Culture (Secular or Church) cannot define a Christian.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">With this understanding, we want to offer seven primary qualities or traits of the Christian’s being.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">1. The Christian reflects Christ’s image. As Adam was made in God’s image, the Christian has to be made in Christ’s image. They will reflect the characteristics of Christ. (Romans 8:29)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">2. The Christian is full of wisdom and integrity. The Christian will not be a fool. They will not lack spiritual wisdom and insight. They will be full of faith like the servants chosen in Acts. (Acts 6:3a)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">3. The Christian is an example of the believers in this world. The Christian will set an example that others can follow. They will represent the Christian faith well to the world. (I Timothy 4:12b)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">4. The Christian home will be characterized by the worship of God. One of the qualifications for a bishop was to have his home in order. Christians will strive to have their homes in order to reflect the faith. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">5. The Christian follows the example that Christ set. Paul exhorted the Corinthians to follow his example as he followed Christ. This will be the same desire of the Christian. They will only want others to emulate them as they follow Christ. (I Corinthians 11:1)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">6. The Christian is a person of prayer. In the Old Testament, servants of God offered the most powerful prayers. Prayer is a foundational element to the Christian experience. (Ephesians 6:18)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">7. The Christian is a student of the Word of God. The Christian will have a desire to know God’s word. They will not shun corporate and personal study of the Word. They will also understand the foundational beliefs of the Christian faith. (II Timothy 2:15)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">What is your reason for being as a Christian? Do you know how to define yourself? When you understand who you are internally, you will be able to overcome every internal struggle and live in victory.</p><div><br /></div>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-62525718934062734742021-10-25T06:00:00.001-07:002021-10-25T06:00:00.195-07:00 What Is Your Reason for Living?<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiIc_d_git72vcQvQuX8Xy-hKjrp_3EvogI5NyOVey60xkO7bAuivfY94y-S0SO-TzpTxZf-2ZoisMIn2m0xV4atInSdaIuOmEL3hvCYL78SpVaCvboGzzW8HnJdk00AdURG46hIG2tMIzwB-qwj21RtD-v9tZuO1k_ctDPxq7A_3JrAW7bQB3zcXxkCg=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1848" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiIc_d_git72vcQvQuX8Xy-hKjrp_3EvogI5NyOVey60xkO7bAuivfY94y-S0SO-TzpTxZf-2ZoisMIn2m0xV4atInSdaIuOmEL3hvCYL78SpVaCvboGzzW8HnJdk00AdURG46hIG2tMIzwB-qwj21RtD-v9tZuO1k_ctDPxq7A_3JrAW7bQB3zcXxkCg=s320" width="289" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">What is your reason for living? Is it your spouse, family, job, ministry, friends, or even yourself? For the Christian, the reason for our existence should be Christ. When Christ is not at the center of our being, we will struggle internally to continue to serve Him. We must remember that He gave His life that we would have eternal life. </div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">On the shores of the beach, Jesus came to the disciples and ate with them. He asked Peter: “Lovest thou Me more than these? Or, do you love Me more than these?” (John 21:15). We must consider this question and our answer presently. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Whatever you love will become your reason for living. It will become the “these” in your life.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">There have been many speculations of what is the subject of “these” in Jesus’ question to Peter. There are two popular viewpoints. First, they represented the fish. Peter and some of the others had returned to their former profession of fishing. Second, they represented the other disciples. Since Peter denied the Lord on the night they took Him, he was given the opportunity to reaffirm his love for Him.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Regardless of which of these or any other you prefer, Jesus’ question challenges the believer. Each interpretation reveals to us a need to love Him more and to make Him our reason for living.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The first interpretation shows us that we have to love Him more than our former selves, sins, and vices. We cannot return to our old ambitions and endeavors as our reason for living. Peter returned to what he was doing before he met the Lord. If He is not our reason for living, we will go backwards. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Some focus so much on trying to overcome where they came from that they forget that their focus is to be upon Him now. In doing so, when we behold Him, we become more like Him. Conversely, if we are consistently focusing on sins, we will fail. Though temptations come, your desire or love for Him must supersede your desire for the old sin or habit. It is the only way to resist and overcome. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">The second interpretation shows us that we have to live as if we are in competition with others in service, like in a race. If Jesus was referring to the others, it was a direct challenge to Peter to show that Christ was his reason for living more than what any others demonstrated. This challenge is upon us today. Paul echoes this sentiment when he said that we are to run this race as if we are going to be the winner. It is our only reason to be here: to please Him until that Day.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Again, what is your reason for living? Do you love Him above any “these?” Is He your reason? Love Him MORE! Make HIM the REASON! Remember, if we love Him, we will never fail because it is written that love never fails.</p><div><br /></div>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-48863560778076240352021-10-11T20:19:00.001-07:002021-10-11T20:19:25.032-07:00A Qualified Endorser<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhJKO5USKgczzpBitqWAMa5C1CwyVTXh1Ropx1pzrVQwjOfKWnBluxEqp8SB8A-7N9oHVRIEqhUUfVanBzrxXTXPoebuQ-9n6UjddLScCO2tlNCS6aDOg8QCG4v_g1znlCifVjI64is1grWTMHUjsDSyRgxR3_rSVHXSTE4nlqgPodLPOrY_xxbkNQYXA=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhJKO5USKgczzpBitqWAMa5C1CwyVTXh1Ropx1pzrVQwjOfKWnBluxEqp8SB8A-7N9oHVRIEqhUUfVanBzrxXTXPoebuQ-9n6UjddLScCO2tlNCS6aDOg8QCG4v_g1znlCifVjI64is1grWTMHUjsDSyRgxR3_rSVHXSTE4nlqgPodLPOrY_xxbkNQYXA=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Since the advent of the television, there has been the commercial. Commercials sometimes can prove to be annoyances rather than vehicles that connect the consumer to the best products. Today, a marriage between the entertainment and advertising industry has occurred where celebrities are becoming walking endorsements. However, unknown individuals exist who become the face and voice of a particular product or brand name. </div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Regardless of the company, they have an expectation that those who endorse their product will lead a life that is reflective of the advertiser. However, we have seen individuals throughout the years who lost their positions as product endorsers because of misdeeds in their personal lives.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">What does this have to do with the Christian? It is simple. When we receive Christ, we instantly become spokespersons for God’s timeless product of salvation. Thus, God expects us to be representatives of this salvation even when we are not in front of the camera; that is, involved in religious activities or among other Christians. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">As Christians, we have to abstain from worldly lusts and demonstrate love, integrity, and character in our lives. This is how we remain respected endorsers of the work of Christ.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><i>I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:1-3 (KJV)</i></p><p style="text-align: justify;">If we continually disobey the Word and choose our own ways and thoughts, we can be removed from service. If we are unfruitful in our Christian walk, Christ taught that one could be removed; that is, from effectual service in Him.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The Christian’s desire must be to please God, that He may use his/her life in any manner. In all that is said and done, let it represent God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Hence, the question remains, Are you a qualified endorser of the gospel message? Does your lifestyle misrepresent the gospel message? Just know that you can make a difference as your life reflects the Christian faith.</p><div><br /></div>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995153447914218652.post-86420843466398418862021-10-04T19:37:00.017-07:002021-10-04T19:37:00.196-07:00Defining the Christian Male: Seven Traits of a Godly Man<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip2S0YNcxr6NceiWSm0Yodqy3S-2mhGoRYrFSpSYvSmnHcYy24suu3urf4j27N4Zli7F4HHX_Zu1upqQCuf5f9GcQ_apyYtamThhRlXBKQi41Q3WhXRsVy5Z7RtpArvsAASwvCUPQu4TPt/s2048/ce09a83bd0dbb81b6d77dda33caf949f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2047" data-original-width="2048" height="191" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip2S0YNcxr6NceiWSm0Yodqy3S-2mhGoRYrFSpSYvSmnHcYy24suu3urf4j27N4Zli7F4HHX_Zu1upqQCuf5f9GcQ_apyYtamThhRlXBKQi41Q3WhXRsVy5Z7RtpArvsAASwvCUPQu4TPt/w191-h191/ce09a83bd0dbb81b6d77dda33caf949f.jpg" width="191" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Every Christian male should ask himself this question: What makes me a man? More importantly, what makes me a godly man? If a man does not know who he is, he will not be all he can be in Christ Jesus. The Christian male has to understand that he can only define himself based upon biblical standards. This is because culture and Christianity have varying viewpoints about what makes one a "man." The Christian male, then, has to learn to define his manhood in terms of his relationship with Christ (righteousness and character), rather than by the culture (which focuses mostly on external traits -strength, money, stature, family, etc). Before going further the Christian male should understand:</span></p><p><strong style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;">*A man's definition is not based upon external characteristics, but internal traits.*</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">*The definition of a man is found in the image of God.*</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">*Culture cannot define a man.*</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With this understanding, we want to offer seven primary qualities or traits of the Christian man.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>1. He reflects Christ's image.</strong> As Adam was made in God's image, the Christian man has to be made in Christ's image. He will reflect the characteristics of Christ. (Romans 8:29)</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>2. He is a man full of wisdom and integrity.</strong> The Christian man will not be a fool. He will not lack spiritual wisdom and insight. He will be full of faith. (Acts 6:3a)</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>3. His is an example of the believers in this world.</strong> The Christian man will set an example that others can follow. He will represent the Christian faith well to the world. (I Timothy 4:12b)</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>4. He leads his home in the worship of God.</strong> One of the qualifications for a bishop was to have his home in order. This same quality will be in the true Christian man. (I Timothy 3:4)</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>5. He follows the example that Christ set.</strong> Paul exhorted the Corinthians to follow his example as he followed Christ. This will be the same desire of the Christian man. He will only want others to emulate him as he follows Christ. (I Corinthians 11:1)</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>6. He is man of prayer.</strong> In the Old Testament, men offered the most powerful prayers. Contrary to popular belief, women are not more effective in prayer than men. Prayer is not woman's work. Men have a responsibility to weep and mourn and intercede for others also. (Ephesians 6:18)</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>7. He is a student of the Word of God.</strong> The Christian man will have a desire to know God's word. He will not shun corporate and personal study of the Word. He will also understand the foundational beliefs of the Christian faith. (II Timothy 2:15)</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Well, there you have it! The same is true for the Christian husband. To clarify the role of the Christian husband, we have listed some other responsibilities associated with marriage. There are four functions that the Christian husband performs to fulfill his responsibility to his wife.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>I. He functions as a Priest. </b>The priests served as spiritual leaders in Israel. They would teach the people the precepts of the Lord as well as make sacrifices for the people. The Christian husband leads his family in worship of God. Even if his wife is in ministry and he is not, he has the responsibility to lead the family in the Lord's service.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">He functions as a priest to his wife in some specific ways. The first is that he will present her concerns to the Lord (as well as his own) in prayer. This is similar to the priests who sacrificed to the Lord for themselves and others. The second is that the husband will bear his wife concerns and burdens in providing an ear for her concerns and worries.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>II. He functions as a Provider. </strong>The Christian husband provides for his wife. He does this in two ways emotionally and financially. Most men have no problem with working and contributing to the financial needs of his wife. However, many men fail in providing for the emotional needs of his wife.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. (Colossians 3:19)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The scriptures tell men not to be bitter against their wives. Some demonstrate bitterness towards their wives by not listening to their requests or meeting their emotional needs.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>III. He functions as a Protector.</strong> The Christian husband also protects his wife. He does this in two ways. First, he protects her from the spiritual attacks of the enemy. The Christian husband knows how to help his wife in spiritual warfare; quenching fiery darts of the evil one.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Second, he protects her from herself. He understands his wife and knows how to protect her from self-inflicted wounds of doubt, depression, and frustration. He will not allow his wife to hinder herself because of unhealthy self-perception.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>IV. He functions as a Shepherd.</strong> The Christian husband performs the duty of a shepherd for his wife. The shepherd corrects and comforts the sheep. He leads them into green pastures. The husband will lead his wife into the will of God. Through the word of God, he will comfort and correct her so that they both stand together in Christ without blame.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. (I Peter 3:7)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Being a Christian husband comes with great respect and responsibility. God's plan for husbands has not changed. If men husbands are to properly find their place and identity, it has to be done by using the Word and the example of Christ.</p>Abundant Truth International Ministrieshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00819409698612345425noreply@blogger.com0
